Adrian Alvarez, PhD is a seasoned strategy and competitive intelligence professional with over 25 years of experience advising Fortune 1000 companies across Latin America. As Managing Partner of Midas Consulting, he has led market entry strategies, M&A support, benchmarking initiatives, and wargaming simulations for clients in sectors ranging from pharmaceuticals and B2B industries to financial services and education.

A former board member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) — and the sixth non-U.S. citizen to serve in this role — he played a key role in building the Brazilian chapter and bringing SCIP’s conference to Latin America.

Alvarez has taught Strategic Analysis and Competitive Intelligence at FIA and FIPE in Brazil, and at UB, UCES, and the Instituto de Inteligencia de las Fuerzas Armadas in Argentina. He has been a frequent speaker on these topics in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, Panama, Guatemala, the United States, Spain, and Italy.
