Rich Caldwell is a 23-year Air Force Veteran that specialized in communications, computers, systems analysis, space systems and command and control systems. He held roles at all levels, including command.
While on the Joint Staff he was part of the team that stood up the new Directorate of Counter-Terrorism and worked closely integrating current operations into the National Military Joint Intelligence Center. He spent 20 years in the aerospace and defense industry working as a chief engineer, program manager, capture manager and competitive analyst. Throughout his industry career Rich has worked competitive analysis both as an analyst and as a competitive intelligence leader.
As a CI leader he led teams to help win corporate priority wins, develop winning strategies leading wargames and scenario analysis for capture teams. He was the Competitive Analyst lead instructor in the Northrop Grumman Competitive Analysis/Price-to Win boot camp teaching over 1,800 students over ten years. He developed tailored competitive analyst playbooks with many still in use today. Over the years he has published hundreds of Blogs about the practice of competitive analysis to win new business. Rich left corporate industry to pursue a consulting career in competitive intelligence for the A&D industry and is founder of Caldgargan & Associates, a Competitive Intelligence Consulting Firm.
