Dr. Qingjiu (Tom) Tao teaches strategic management and business intelligence in the Lerner college of business and economics at University of Delaware, Newark, DE. He is the faculty director of Pocket MBA program at University of Delaware. He received his Ph.D. in Strategic Management and International Business from University of Pittsburgh in 2004. He also teaches Global Competitive Intelligence at Georgetown University. He servied as visiting professor at Peking University and Hongkong UST.
He has spoken at the Wharton School, Dartmouth, University of Tokyo, Peking Univesity, University of Michigan, AutoUni—VW and testified as an expert before the congressional US. -China Economic and Security Review Commission on China’s auto industry. He was inducted as a Competitive Intelligence fellow into the Council of CI FELLOWS.
He has been involved in corporate training since 2003 and have delivered training sessions primarily in the format of Competitive Simulation and War Gaming. The companies he worked with include: Simens, Alibaba, Haier, Mindray, etc.
He founded Madison Green Growth Group in 2011 to provide management consulting and training service. The usual topics and subject areas offered by him are: Management simulation, War Gaming and Scenario Analysis, Strategic planning for tech startups, Introduction to CI, establishing CI function, analytical tools in CI.
