Founder, Managing Partner and Chief Intelligence Officer of ÜBERBRANDS, a strategic consulting boutique that supports organizations to successfully navigate the competitive environment. Previously Global Competitive Intelligence (CI) Practice Lead for Ogilvy Consulting, he has extensive international experience in Consulting and in the FMCG industry (Diageo, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Red Bull, United Coffee, and Heineken) where he held leadership roles in CI, Strategy, Marketing, and Sales, internationally and globally. Set-up and took a CI function to world class level in 2,5 years. 

PhD in Information Management (Information Systems and Decision Support) by NOVA IMS and Integrated Researcher of MagIC. Defended Cum Laude his doctoral thesis where he established the Competitive Intelligence Science and is currently researching the Competitive Augmented Intelligence field. Graduated from NOVA SBE in Economics, Certified as a Competitive Intelligence Professional (CIP-II) by the Academy of Competitive Intelligence and as Social Intelligence Professional (CSIP) by the Social Intelligence Lab. Author of SMINT, the first real-time CI approach, as well as INNOVaction, an end-to-end innovation program.

He was awarded the fellowship of the Council of CI Fellows in 2018, the highest recognition in the CI field. Chairs the SCIP Portugal Intelligence Center of Excellence Portugal Chapter and is an International Keynote Speaker and Educator at MSc, Exec. Edu., Post Graduation, MBA, and PhD levels).
